  My husband and I renew are vows Oct 1, 2016 and we wanted a good cake, so we chose Sugar Rush base on their reviews. Megan and I went back and forth on emails and I chose two flavors white and red velvet. So the night of the renewal we found out from Matterhorn staff that the whole cake was red velvet. A lot of guests don't eat red velvet. Now I remember Megan saying she had other cakes to make the same day so its just a misunderstanding ..I LOVE WHEN SOMEONE ADMITS THEIR FAULT IN SOMETHING. So we email Megan and she was nice to refund some money back to us. THE CAKE WAS BEAUTIFUL AND SHE DEFINTELY WORK VERY HARD ON IT, also the ones who ate the red velvet cake said it taste so great. SO IF YOU WANT A CAKE FOR ANY TYPE OF EVENT THIS IS THE PLACE YOU WANT. Thank you so much for making this a great experience.

  We ordered our wedding cake from Sugarush last month. We had a meeting with Megan to talk about what kind of cake we were looking for, flavors and whatnot. When we left our cake tasting appointment, my husband and I were both so excited to see our cake and were very happy with the service.
  
  The day before our wedding, my parents were very kind and picked up our cake for us. Our wedding was an hour and a half away from the bakery. My mom sent me a picture of the cake and I instantly was dissatisfied. The cake was beautiful but NOTHING like we had talked about in the tasting. I sent the picture to my husband to see if he would notice. His response was the same as mine, "Pretty, but what happened to the design we talked about?"
  
  I called Megan right away to tell her that the design was not what we had envisioned. I knew at the point that we could not get a new cake because it was so close to the wedding, I just wanted to let her know that it was not what we asked for. She was very very rude to me. Very defensive and horrible customer service. She blamed me for the the wrong design, telling me that I was wrong, that is not what she had written down in our meeting. I have worked in customer service my whole life. I would never dream of talking to a customer the way she spoke to me. I asked for some money back due to the wrong design and quite frankly, her rudeness. We have yet to see a partial refund check and the wedding was a month ago.
  
  I would be careful dealing with Sugarush. Make sure you have what you want it writing before you fork over two-hundred dollars on a small cake that isn't what you asked for.

  The desserts were overly sweet and were, with few exceptions, of packaged quality. I hate to post reviews like this because I wanted SO hard to like this place. It's on one of my favorite walking trails and it looks so inviting. Now, while the baked goods are only passable it also has decorative items and a small deli menu that kept it up at two stars for me.
